Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Central Scottsdale

From the moment you step onto their sun-dappled patio, you're met with a laid-back yet refined atmosphere that pairs perfectly with their unforgettable menu. We were celebrating our anniversary and it couldn’t have been better. When we arrived there was an anniversary card on our table signed by everyone. We started with a crab cake and a bowl of butternut squash soup with a duck confit ravioli. Both were delicious. For the main courses I am very excited that right now Osso bucco is back on the menu. It is one of my all time favorites. There was a grouper special that was incredible. For dessert we finished with chocolate bread pudding and had dark chocolate blueberry ice cream. Fantastic and highly recommend this restaurant. It is our favorite in Phoenix.

J&G is our favorite place for special occasions. Third time there this year. They were overrun on Christmas Eve. The bar area was woefully understaffed. Our table was ready 30 minutes late. But our server Jeff was fantastic and made up for the very rough start in the bar. And they comped our drinks from the bar without prompting. The bar server is great - but he was alone with full dinner tables set up for Christmas Eve and a crush of folks waiting for tables. I felt sorry for him. Jeff told us that it was the busiest he’s ever seen it in 11 years. Management should have seen this coming. It the food was great and we enjoyed ourselves. We will be back.

Enjoyed our Christmas Eve dinner. Though they were busy service was timely and well paced. Our out of town family thoroughly enjoyed everything. Ordered several apps - delicious turnip cakes, steamed dumplings and curry cakes. Great cocktails also! Respectable martinis. Crispy chicken & green beans, Pad Ke Mao, and spicy beef short ribs entrees. Generous portions, that we even took some home. Definitely will be back!

We went to W & W with our family of 7 after church on Christmas Eve and could not have had a better experience! The service provided by Tammy was beyond amazing! She was attentive and very helpful in offering suggestions! Most importantly, she was kind and gracious to the three small children at our table. We will come back not only for the food and ambience, but also for Tammy’s service. Happy new year!
