It is operated by the couple, Chef Juan Lopez Luna et sommelier and wine importer Lindsay Brennan. Alma offers a tasting menu experience (5 or 9 courses) inspired by the concept of "mar y montana", largely influenced by Chef Juan's childhood memories of central Mexico as well as the couple's time spent on the coastal region of Oaxaca.     Five stars all around. Absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, this was an unforgettable dining experience. The Chef’s Counter seating was a highlight—being able to watch the kitchen in action and pick up on the chefs’ seamless communication added an entirely new level of appreciation to the meal. Service was flawless. Attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and drinks they were serving. Great cocktails and a thoughtfully curated wine list elevated everything. Every dish was a masterpiece. Perfectly balanced flavors, stunning presentation, and an obvious dedication to quality ingredients. The ambiance tied it all together—warm, inviting, refined. Top to bottom, this was probably the best meal I’ve had in the city. If you’re looking for a truly special dining experience, Tuck Shop is it.

    From the first moment I walked in, I was greeted with such a smile and so warmly. That was wonderful! Went on Valentine weekend so thought it would be crazy but instead was so well run. The service was amazing and attentive to the core. Our server was just so great and gave us so much information and suggestions. The attention to details and service was perfect! Oh and the food 11/10!!! Delicious and definitely worth it!! Coming back soon!
