- DDavidVIPSan Diego •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoCallie is one of, if not the, best restaurants in San Diego. Fine dining has shifted post-COVID but Callie does everything at a consistently high level. The food is interesting, layered, often surprising, and delicious. Wine and cocktails are similarly high quality and creative. Service is outstanding. Now this is what you would expect for a restaurant probably averaging $150 per person but, if you love restaurants, you know you can pay that price in San Diego and not have a satisfying experience. My wife and I ate at Callie recently for our anniversary. Staff had a handwritten card for us thanking us for celebrating at their restaurant. It's the extra, above-and-beyond that makes Callie great.More infoCallie RestaurantPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Downtown•4.8

A great wine list and slowly evolving menu with amazing specials (wild rabbit ragu!!) keeps us coming back.More infoCellar HandPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Hillcrest•4.6
- KKarenSan Diego •21 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 16, 2025We started our meal with the Moule au homard (mussels in a lobster bisque). The tarragon and cognac really enhanced the dish. Since black truffles are in season they were offered in their specials menu. We ordered the linguine with truffles. It also had chanterelles and was fantastic. I believe it’s the best “mushroom” linguine I have ever ordered. The house salad was the perfect compliment. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and very helpful in our food and wine decisions. If we lived closer, I’d probably become a regular. Bien joue.More infoEt Voilà! French Bistro - San DiegoPrice: Moderate• French• North Park•4.9

I mention him because his service truly made our experience more enjoyable and having exemplary service that stands out is truly such a joy! Food was great, cocktails were even better. Would return for another meal without hesitation!More infoARLO San DiegoPrice: Moderate• American• Mission Valley•4.2
