Mixing all these ingredients is so exciting for Houston’s wonder-Chef Bruce Molzan and his partner Neera Patidar! The concept and food at Ruggles Black is modern and fun: a fusion pushing Indian, Asian, and American flavors to whole new boundaries in terms of taste, but keeping it accessible in terms of price. Ruggles Black is THE place to be for conscious eating foodies, as Bruce “The King of Paleo” cooks his amazingly delicious treats with local ingredients from farmers, while embracing the Paleo principles.

Nominated by Food and Wine Magazine as best chef southwest and 4 time winner of the Houston Iron Fork competition, Roost is slowly standing in a class of its own. With accolades like winner of the Food Networks Beat Bobby Flay and competing on Guy's Grocery Games, local Chef Kevin Naderi loves developing global flavors and serving his hometown. Roost’s 50-seat space is cozy and unpretentious, amid walls paneled with old shutters and Edison-like light fixtures. Roost’s rustic and diverse menu is revised every five weeks, inspired by local availability of farm-fresh seasonal ingredients and flavors of the world, including the American South, Asia, and from the Middle East, taking advantage of Chef Naderi’s Persian heritage. With over 13 years of serving Houston, we are proud to be a delicious option for our incredible city, and we truly looking forward to giving you a casual- fine dining experience.

Roost never disappoints. I love that the cauliflower is always on the menu and most of the dishes change every couple of months, always something new and fabulous to try. Happy hour prices are fantastic for wine, perfect location for before a show.

A nice hidden gem. Loved the decor, the kitchen open to the restaurant and bar. Very intimate, food was great overall. The cacio peppe was my least favorite as it had no flavor at all. We ordered pasta and asked the chef to make it spicy. The first time it was so delicious, we ordered another for our table, however it was less spicy and not as great as the first time. We had to ask for more water after our pitcher was sitting empty for a while, we also had to request that our table be cleaned off after we finished the starters. The restaurant was empty so it wasn’t busy and therefore they should have been a bit more attentive. Little details make or break a restaurant in our opinion. With that being said, we’ll definitely give it another try because the food was good.

The hostess and the waitstaff were wonderful. We got our food promptly, and it was delicious. I ordered a pizza for my daughter to go, and she also loved it. I'll be back.
