Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Winnipeg

Great food and ambiance. I had the scallops with risotto and my spouse had the pork tenderloin. Both entrees were delicious as well as unique. The house salad was generous and I liked that fresh onsite herbs and vegetables were used in the dishes. We also liked that the server asked if we would like the dishes explained as they arrived.

Went to Nonsuch for lunch with a friend and her partner from Germany - neither of which had been to Nonsuch before. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food (Le burger, Chips avec dip, and crème brûlée) and the drinks! Our German friend, who definitely has strong opinions about what “good beer” tastes like, loved La Pils. I feel like that’s a pretty high compliment, so well done Nonsuch.

We were a group of 6x few of us had never been before. The server was so good at explaining options, ordering was very easy.

We went here for our 25th Anniversary dinner. The Food was great, service excellent and prices were reasonable. We had the Angus steak dinner, and chicken and ribs. Everything was cooked perfectly. Dessert was the chocolate caramel cheesecake which was yummy. Highly recommend and we will definitely return.

The server was very nice, explained the various dishes. Was quick to refill my wine glass. The borscht was a little thin and the roll was still cold in the middle.. the shortribs were good but could have had a more robust flavour. I couldnt taste the Guiness which was apparently the sauce. Good overall and i would go back and try a different entree.
