Thanksgiving dinner a Stella San Jac was a delightful meal! I give big kudos to the chef! Every plate had a seasonal flavor with a twist. Every dish was true to the spirit of the holiday. Saludos! Our food was delicious, ambiance was wonderful and the suggestions Giovanni gave us on drinks, pairings etc. were the cherry on top! I recommend the Brussel sprouts- so crispy and crunchy! I had the filet mignon in black mole as I’m an omnivore. My spouse is a vegetarian. The only downside to our meal which is not unique to Mexta, is serving cauliflower as the vegetarian entree. The industry has been holding on tightly to this choice and has become the default veg-choice. I didn’t have room for dessert but their 3-cheese cheesecake caught my eye. I hope I can stop by at my next visit to Austin. :)

Absolutely incredible meal. My boyfriend and I had the Wagyu tartare, scallops, oysters, 35 day aged wagyu steak, fingerling potatoes, and buñuelo for dessert. The service was great, very knowledgeable and fast. They were very accommodating of my seafood allergy and were able to swap out sauces containing fish ingredients and modify dishes to have the seafood portion on the side so there would be no cross contamination. I can’t wait to go back to enjoy their wonderful menu again!
