- RRobinVIPTulsa •11 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe visited Baron’s for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance is beautiful and we could tell everyone there was having a good time. My husband ordered the antelope, and although it was a small piece of meat, he said it was very good. The chopped salad was shared between two of us at the table and it was very fresh and the basil vinaigrette was delicious and not overbearing. Theee of us at the table ordered the filet. It was a good size steak (a little bigger than the antelope). I ordered medium rare and it was more medium (actually wasn’t as pink as the medium ordered by another person at our table) but it was still delicious and very tender. The whipped potatoes and asparagus that came with the filet were very flavorful. Our waitress was very nice and helpful. She gave the birthday guest a choice of desserts and they chose the chocolate ganache, to be shared at the table. There were 3 piece of ganache that resembled the size of a Kit Kat. The ganache was creamy and perfect, but the table agreed the pear marshmallow on top had an odd flavor. Two of the guests ordered the Baron’s Old Fashioned (had a smoked ice cube) and agreed the aftertaste was like ashes, and not pleasant. There is only one bathroom each for men and women, so the wait time to use was a little long at times. We will definitely visit Baron’s again. Beautiful restaurant with a lively vibe and delicious food.More infoBarons on 1stPrice: Very Expensive• American• Tulsa•4.8
- EErinTulsa •4 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 29, 2024* Update* Hunter, GM, invited me back for a redo and I cannot express how happy I am I went. Service and food were better even than past years and made it a spectacular birthday dinner. I would write more, but character limits!! I treat myself to dinner at Juniper pretty much every year for my birthday. This year my experience was overall very disappointing which is such an anomaly from years past. I was greeted with a happy birthday as usual while at the hostess stand and given my options for where I wanted to sit. Now, this is where my decision probably didn’t help the situation, however I am used to nothing but exceptional service every time I dine at Juniper so didn’t consider my choice to be an issue. As a single diner, I chose a two top in the bar area as to not take up valuable real estate better used by other diners on a Saturday night and it just happened to be tucked in the corner a bit. I was given water and a menu within 5 mins and was a little surprised I wasn’t given a small glass of bubbly wine as a birthday treat as I’ve gotten in years past, but I understand times change. As I sat and waited for my waiter/waitress to take my order, I saw everyone around me getting the exceptional service I was used to at this establishment and felt completely neglected. 25 mins after being sat I had finally ordered and an additional 15 mins after that I had my appetizer, but no wine that I had ordered. I went up to the bar and asked for it and the bartender was deeply apologetic and comped the wine which was very kind. The bartender eventually noticed I was in the bar area and from then on went out of his way to make sure the service was impeccable, but the first half of my dining experience kind of soured the whole night. Most of the food was spectacular as usual. I don’t know if it was just an off night because my experience was so different in years past, but this was a birthday dinner I wouldn’t mind forgetting.More infoJuniper RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Tulsa•4.7
- JjeffVIPChicago / Illinois •23 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 27, 2024This restaurant is incredible. Whether you have been to the Basque country of Spain or not you will love it. If you have traveled to Spain, though you will especially appreciate the authenticity of it. It is absolutely one of Tulsa’s best restaurants.More infoRestaurant BasquePrice: Expensive• Basque• Tulsa•4.8
