Founded in 1996 the ideas for the Marblehead Chowder House were actually hatched a few years before. Sitting at "The Barnacle," overlooking Marblehead Harbor one raw winter day, while the spume from the rough saltwater painted the windows and the Sam Adams Lager flowed freely, a concept was born. This place is always consistent even on a holiday like Thanksgiving. Food, service (our waiter) Tom was great. We dine here all the time and have never been disappointed. They had the traditional turkey dinner if you wanted it along with a lovely menu of other entrees to choose from. I went for the pork chop and have never been disappointed by it. One of the best!

In an area where Italian is everywhere this place stands on its own. From start to finish an elevated experience. Incredible service, unbelievable food. Staff was attentive and informed, helped guide our wine selection and dessert. I’m already looking forward to our next dining experience here. The live music trio was the icing on a lovey evening. Do not miss this place
