We learned that they have been open about 3 mths thus far so all is shiny and tasteful. Has a city vibe without the hassle. Nice bar set up and many dining tables and booths. Authentic delicious Italian. We learned that the owners are the chefs. We also learned that the balsamic vinnegar that is provided along with olive oil on the table is 15 year old aged. Was delicious with the home made 2 different types of bread provided. The spices and flavors of our meals were spot on. Zander, our server, was top shelf and very friendly. Definitely going back!More infoLa Dolce Vita Cucina - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Portage Park•4.4

- KKellyChicago / Illinois •32 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoThe dining room is beautiful! It's sexy, dark and warm....very inviting. Stash, the bartender made killer drinks and had jokes to match. The food was amazing! Oysters Rockefeller were baked perfectly with a crusty top. Octopus was incredibly tender and was paired so well with the dueling sauces. The wagyu tar tar had a fun twist and was served with hollowed out fingerlings instead of chips or crustini's. The foie gras toast was to die for. The ribeye and the scallops were perfectly executed and the Mac n cheese was super flavorful. It wasn't too creamy or too dry either. It could've been hotter, but that's a small detail. The only thing we didn't care for was the seafood salad. There was almost no salad or seafood. It was primarily farro which was not a pleasant mouth feel. Sky's service was warm and hospitable. It was a perfect night out with my dear friend and I couldn't be happier. It's pricey, but worth every penny. Can't wait to go back!More infoButcher and the BearPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Lincoln Park•4.7
