Johnny’s Downtown, opened in 1993, is similar to the original Johnny’s Bar on Fulton Road, featuring pasta, veal and fish. The setting, a refurbished 1860’s Warehouse District building, formerly a general store, is the drinking and dining spot of locals and business people alike.     We absolutely loved the food and service. I had been looking forward to trying this place and it was everything I thought. The only down was when we first came in I gave our reservation name to the girl with long black hair and she was snippy. I kept telling her our last name and she showed her our confirmation and that our friends were already Sat and she was somewhat abrasive and combative instead of helpful. Another girl came up thankfully and walked us over to them.

    Everything we ordered was tasty and delicious. The decor and ambiance was delightful. The service was A+, and it was relatively quiet for a nice romantic dinner (granted, it was a Wednesday). The prices were very good for what we ordered – artisan cocktails, appetizer, entrees, and dessert – $100 for two of us.
