Steuben’s is named after a restaurant in Boston that my Great Uncles, Max and Joe, opened in 1945. Steuben's became a famous Boston restaurant, nightclub, and hotspot from the 1940’s to the 1960’s on Boylston Street. The Vienna Room, The Cave, and The Blue Room were all part of the Steuben's space and hosted Big Band, Jazz, and Swing groups with The Rat Pack, proms and sweet sixteens, and more.     Noth never disappoints! On this occasion, the restaurant was extremely busy and getting started with service took 15 minutes or so, which is unusual. Maybe they were short waitstaff? Once our service was engaged everything rolled along very smoothly and our server Jordyn W was excellent! Our meals were cooked to perfection and delicious.

    My son and his girlfriend treated me for My birthday. He wanted to try just about everything. We ordered a Rioja salad which I loved and we ordered 1/2 orders of the pastas just to try them all. The 2 favorites were the pappardelle with pork and the artichoke tortelloni. We ordered the bacon wrapped cod, the braised short rib (my favorite) and the octopus which was soft and cooked to perfection as entrees. Dessert was a butterscotch buddino and the chocolate citrus mousse. All was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. Super friendly staff as well and very attentive. Would highly recommend giving Rioja a try.

    Just reserve and go. It’s only a hidden gem if you don’t go looking. Get curious out of the car entering this most magical property taking its aspen roots revitalizing a long withered pocket of Denver’s beautiful downtown capital hill area.
