Best Seasonal Restaurants in Dartmouth

We enjoyed our lunch today. Three friends, good food and great conversation. GOAT cheese salad was excellent, the chicken gyro looked amazing and was devoured as well!

Came in for a few oysters and after oysters, shrimp clams, and scallops we decide to make a reservation for tomorrow night. Really that good. 

We were a table of four on a busy Saturday night. Despite the full house the waitstaff were on top of their game and very attentive. Shout out to Matt who was our server and went above and beyond to keep us happy. We ordered several apps--highlights were the chicken spring rolls (fresh and light) and the very fresh and well chilled oysters (Eastham). The shrimp dumplings were a bit of a disappointment--heavy and greasy pan fried dough and it was hard to detect the shrimp filling. That was the only mediocre item all night though. The main courses were excellent. Steak tips, Pad Thai and Ramen were our main entrees. Don't laugh at my ramen choice--this is not the stuff you ate in college. A deeply flavorful broth topped with fresh steamed vegetables, a perfectly cooked soft boiled egg, smoked chicken, bean sprouts and cilantro covered a bowlful of perfectly cooked ramen noodles. We still managed to find room to split a dessert--apple crisp and ice cream-excellent. Drinks were generous and well made. We really appreciated the high quality live music. And even with the lively music, we could still have a conversation and hear ourselves talk. We'll be back soon--it's one of our favorite spots.

Food is always fresh and delicious. Specials rotate often & so many great options all on the regular menu also. The great thing is the specials are also available at lunch. The French onion soup is delicious and served piping hot. Service is always awesome at Fathoms. Bar tender Matt makes a great cocktail, remembers customers names & favorite drinks & makes great recommendations. Wait staff are super friendly and time things well, they don’t rush you but are attentive if you need something. Lots of service support crew. One of our favorite spots.
