- MMatthewDerbyshire •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoFirst visit & won’t be my last. First time my son has come with us to a decent restaurant, 11 years old he had mussels, sirloin and a chocolate fondant. Loved everything he ate. Comte gougere- phenomenal!! Snacks through to dessert all cooked & presented well, can tell they use quality ingredients and have a kitchen team that can cook. Servers all polite and friendly. As a chef it’s hard to go out to eat and enjoy it however the Duncombe arms delivered great food, friendly unintrusive service at good value (£75 each snacks, 3 courses with service charge and tip too)More infoThe Duncombe ArmsPrice: Expensive• British• Ashbourne•4.6

Limited options due to unexpected weather conditions but still catered for our different tastes and needs. Lovely pub atmosphere with open fire.More infoThe Devonshire ArmsPrice: Expensive• Pub• Hartington•4.3

We had to update our booking to reduce number and open table inadvertently changed the booking date!! The restaurant was unfortunately full but they accommodated our group in the library. This actually made it a lovely quirky private experience (low table dining) for a 50th birthday celebration and service was still very attentive, even though we were tucked away.More infoBiggin Hall Hotel & RestaurantPrice: Expensive• British• Buxton•4.8
