Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen.     This is a tried and true favorite. Took a student who is interning in DC and shel loved it. The place was packed and traffice was terrible so i got there late, bt I asked for them to hold the reservation. The hostesses, down to the wait staff were awesome. High energy - lots of Capital Hill celebs there.

    Brought my boyfriend here to celebrate his 40th birthday. We arrived to an opening celebratory warm drink from the chef before being shown to our table. At the table we found a handwritten happy birthday card and proceeded to have the best dinner either of us has had in awhile. It was amazing. Our waiter, Nickoli ( hope I am spelling it correctly) was phenomenal. We loved our time here and left with full belly’s and happy hearts. Much thanks!

    Everything lived up to expectations. The service was great, and the drinks and food were excellent. The staff person also answered all of our questions related to ingredients. She genuinely seemed to like working there and believed in the mission. The cocktails were just as good as the food. The ambiance was very comfortable. The noise will depend on other diners. We were near a party that just wanted to be heard. Once they left, it was darn near perfect.
