Best Seasonal Restaurants in Lake Sarasota

It was very busy, so it was a little loud for the older people in our group to be able to hear. However, very nice atmosphere and surroundings. Our overall experience was "good" based on the wait staff was good, but not exceptional. IE: the waitress spilled our over-filled drink on the table when she delivered it and didn't brink beverage napkin, we waited a too long for empty glasses or dishes to be cleared, etc. Not enough to deter us from coming back! The food was exceptional.

SAGE is unique in Sarasota. The ambience is very sophisticated with an up beat vibe: wood, soft lights, bit dark in decor but not depressing, just like a really good bar in NYC. Wait staff is outstanding. Cassie was our server and she was top notch: fun, warm, interested, knowledgeable, helpful, went out of her way. Dining manager in sport coat and tie was charming and an unusual touch in our little town by the Bay. Food was truly outstanding: mezzaluna pasta appetizer, filet mignon, pork chop, all delicous. The apple crispy thing for dessert was not great: dry. But beautifully designed and presented. This is a small criticism for a great restaurant. Sage is VERY PRICEY but worth it for a special event or splurge. Put it on your special list.

Only our second visit, we now luv, luv Indigenous. We were greeted promptly, seated promptly and serviced promptly by polite, friendly and attentive staff. The pickled vegetables were delightful, the burger with the duck fat roasted potatoes were delicious and vanilla bean ice cream was scrumptious. Rosemary and Thyme consistently delivers an enjoyable dining experience. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Always yummy food, great staff and relaxing ambiance. I love their new fall menu… new ones for every season… a few time a year!
