- JJulio HNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoIf you’re ever in Charleston, this is a must-visit spot! The roasted mushrooms appetizer and the short ribs entrée were absolutely incredible—perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. My family and I also enjoyed an array of other dishes, including the unique Swordfish Schnitzel, the rich and tender Steak Au Poivre, and a perfectly creamy Spaghetti Carbonara. We ended our meal on a high note with the decadent “Some More” dessert. Everything was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. If I return to Charleston, this place will be at the top of my list!More infoTempestPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary American• Downtown Charleston•4.7

Order a drink from Alexa at the bar and you won’t regret it. And Steph always does a fanatic job making sure everyone is taken care of. If you’ve never been, I highly recommend!!More infoO-KuPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Downtown Charleston•4.8

The star of the show is undoubtedly the chicken sandwich – perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with unforgettable flavor. It’s hands down the best chicken sandwich in town! The sides deserve a standing ovation as well. The Brussels sprouts, tossed in their magical sauce, are a flavor explosion that will have you scraping the plate. The garlic potatoes with the crispy edges are rich, and comforting – a must-order. And then there’s the mac and cheese: ooey, gooey, and everything you want in this classic comfort dish. Truly, you’ll regret skipping it. We started with the deviled eggs, a perfectly executed classic that set the tone for the meal. As for dessert, we tried the banana pudding. While it was good, it didn’t quite live up to the hype compared to the rest of the menu, but it was a sweet way to end the meal nonetheless. Rudy Royale is a culinary treasure in Charleston, with standout dishes that will have you coming back for more. Don’t miss it!More infoRudy RoyalePrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.5
- KKarissaGreater Boston •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe had the best experience here celebrating Christmas Eve! The food was incredible, the best of all the Steakhouses we have tried in CHS. The staff was so friendly, from being personally sat by the GM to our attentive waiter. No detail was overlooked and we are already thinking of our next visit back!More infoBurwell's Stone Fire GrillPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown Charleston•4.8

We shared the "Gnudu" for our appetizer-OMG it was ethereal-sosoeft, light and pillowy-absolutely to die for!! I ordered the Tilefish with Pretzel Spaetzle which was delicious. The Hubs ordered the whole fried fish! He loved it!! While this is a pricey restaurant, it is well deserved for a social night out! This was our second visit and definitely won't be our last!
