Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Latham

Yet again another delightful dinner at Innovo! Our server, Jessica, was friendly and helpful throughout our meal despite the place being quite full. The Winter Cosmo is a delight and goes down so smooth. A slight delay in getting our apps was the minor consequence of the crowd. The crab cake continues to be one of the best I’ve ever had from an inland restaurant. I enjoyed the Caesar salad with perfectly sautéed shrimp and Hubble loved the Jambalaya. Always a good meal and lovely time with the Innovo crew! Thanks!!

The staff was welcoming and attentive. They decorated the table for our anniversary. The steak was done to perfection as we're the lamb chops. Truly first class

WOW! Loved the house made giant asparagus tortellinis with mushrooms & a beautiful white sauce. It was a special that night and I hope they have it again. I could eat that everyday. My guest had a veal dish that he was equally impressed with. I also had oysters on the half shell from ME & MA. Both very different. They managed to serve them with the oyster liquor and the best Mignotte I’ve ever tasted. I usually enjoy oysters with just a squeeze of lemon, but the mignotte was too good to pass up. Our server Skylar had great rhythm in his service and was great.

Food was very delicious. The dessert room was very nice as well. The only issue was service. We didn't get anyone coming over to get our order for anything for at least 20 minutes. Then when we were ready to leave the dessert room we had to try to track down our waiter in order to check out. If they improve their service, this would be a five star place.

It's at the highest price point in this area so I was expecting not just top notch food but superlative presentation. I also expected the cocktails, for the price charged, to be a revelation and they just weren't. Not bad, just not attention-grabbing for all the right reasons. The food was good/very good but presentation was uninspired. You're paying instead for the ambiance, friendly and prompt service that doesn't rush you, and the location on the river, and that almost makes the price worth it.
