Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Ocean View

We have been dining at One Coastal for many years, predating the arrival of James Beard Award Finalist Chef Matt Kern. We were so delighted that after One Coastal changed hands we were able to enjoy the same unrivaled, creative, fresh Delaware cuisine. Tonight our family ordered the duck and the rockfish. Both were expertly executed. The flavor profiles of both dishes were unusual, cohesive, and delightful. My husband and I both enjoyed our cocktails, a Duchess and a Ryanhatten. We had a six person dinner and enjoyed each course one after the next. The specials were thoughtfully prepared and we found ourselves sharing and complimenting the creativity of the menu. Dylan our server was knowledgeable, classy, and timely. The wine list was well curated. An additional note of enjoyment was choosing some of our favorite songs for the talented musician to play on the piano while we dined. Excellent all around.

We chose The Ebbitt Room to celebrate Christmas! The restaurant was beautifully decorated, the staff was friendly and the food was excellent. We had the king salmon, the cioppino and the lamb shank. All 3 entrees were very flavorful and nicely plated. For dessert we shared the donuts and cinnamon ice cream. Both were enjoyable. The Ebbitt Room is one of Cape May’s finest restaurants!

Excellent service and good food are staples at the Blue Pig. The atmosphere is lively yet not too noisy. Great restaurant if you are looking for a unique menu selection that will not break your bank!

The food is excellent. Every dish we had was phenomenal. The service was spotty as it took a while for the waiter to get our drink order. We never got bread that comes with every meal, drink refills were slow and never got the last one we asked for. For a fine dining experience service should be very good for $40-50 entrees. The portions are large and we left full. The cooks knocked it out of the park. We will go back and hope to eat in the main dining room next time.
