Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals.     Great Halal steakhouse option. Food and presentation was of great quality. The flavors were really good, especially the cornish game hen and dry aged rib eye steak. Had non-alcoholic drinks and dubai cheesecake for dessert. Great experience overall and the staff were amazing. Would visit again.

    We had the most delicious enjoyable Christmas day dinner. Each taste was amazing. We loved the guacamole, the posole with its complex broth, the barbacoa lamb, the caramel banana cake, the bunelo dessert and the special treat of corn pancakes brought to our table. Even the tempura tofu was good. I liked that they didn't ask us to tell them our choices for the second course until we finished the first ones. The pace was very good. Such a nice dinner experience and the fixe prix way of determining it by the cost of the entree was fair and very reasonable compared to other restaurant offerings for fixe prix for Christmas day.
