Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Venice

Really fantastic and authentic French Bistro in Culver City. If you haven’t been, go! So, so good. They offer a plentiful selection of happy hour items (food and beverages).

Free garage parking; seated on time. Immediate table service. Came for the fixed price Prime Rib dinner. Very tasty salad with their house dressing with extra onions at my request. Prime rib cooked to perfection served with yummy mashed potatoes. Portions large enough for take home leftovers making it a great value. Noise level allows for personal conversation without yelling!

It was everything I would wish for in a nice chill but classy restaurant. It’s sheik yet laid back . It’s what you make it but no matter what food is delicious , drinks are delicious and the service is welcoming. Beautiful people and families everywhere ! Family friendly and date vibes as well .

New Years Day and we wanted some place that we knew would be fantastic, so where else but Gjelina? It was busy but the hosts and servers were unfailingly polite. We ordered 6 things from the menu. My wife's vegan so she had the vegetable sandwich (she had to fight me for it, it was so good). Brussel sprouts, grilled fennel, and the frites were all great. My son and I split the anchovy and burrata toast - a first for me - and it's my new favorite. Finished with the excellent pomodoro pizza - no cheese and none needed, because the jammy tomato confit is the star of the dish. I love this place. It never lets me down. Happy 2025!

Lunch was superb, as the Contadina Schiacciate is a favorite, with artichokes and other vegetables pressed with melted rubiola cheese in between flaky focaccia. The seasonal salad offered even more artichokes and intensely flavored tomatoes. The patio is delightful, complete with lovely Italian tableware. Service was prompt, but nobody seemed rushed, most diners enjoying the terrific food and convivial atmosphere.
