Small countryside pub with excellent food, beers and wine list.The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly.

We had a lovely evening at Essence and felt welcomed and at ease from the moment we arrived. Service was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed the food and the fact that it was a decent portion size. We shared two starters and two mains with rice. We found the overall price pretty reasonable and will be back to sample more on the menu! Essence is definitely a great asset to Tunbridge Wells!! Thank you for a fun evening!!

Booked with APH in which I’ve used for many years to park park the car but never to stay over before an early flight. We found this hotel easy to find, very welcoming, room was a little small but for an overnight stay was fine. Food in restaurant was excellent value and service was good too. Also just a short drive to APH. Would recommend and stay again
