Best Vegan Restaurants in Jacksonville

This was our first time at The Refinery. When we arrived the valet attendant opened the door to the restaurant. Nice touch #1. We checked in and proceeded to the second floor where the fine dining room is located. It was much quieter than downstairs where the pub is located and live music was playing. You could barely hear the music from downstairs. The upstairs had nice softer music playing. Although it was dark outside, we sat facing the ocean. Nice touch 2. We viewed the menu and ordered cocktails, salads, two fish entrees, bread, and a side of crispy Brussels Sprouts. The only negative is they charge extra for bread. Our cocktails were very good, as well as the Caesar and House Salad with the Pumpkin Vinaigrette. For entrees we ordered the Salmon, and the Triple Tail which was the special of the evening. The Salmon was a large piece or protein with string beans and other grains. The Triple Tail was on the small side with a puree and string beans. The Brussels Sprouts were also a hit. Nice touch #3. The only feedback is on charging for bread and the portion size of the Triple Tail. In addition, it was our anniversary, I added it to the OT reservation notes, but no one acknowledged our special day. We will definitely return again, and will also try their Sunday Brunch.

O. M.G. Llamas is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. It’s an experience, for sure. We started with a drink. I had a ginger mule, hubs had a beer. Then we were seated and the Experience began. We had the HONGOS BACHICHE to begin. It was so good! I have never had something so different and unique! The sauce, to die for! Then we ordered the ZETAS Y PASTA & the VEGGIE SALTADO for entrees. Again so incredibly fresh and delicious! Lastly, for dessert, the Sacred Valley. This dish was presented to us by the Owner, Chef Marcel Vizcarra. He explained the dish and its origins. Hands down, the best Mousse, EVER! With just a few tables, the atmosphere is intimate. Perfect for date night, or a small group outing. Also, the staff is so knowledgeable, professional & friendly. We will definitely be dining with Llamas again.

Had the Christmas brunch at Vernon’s. The ny strip and desserts were very good while other items were just ok.

My husband & I had the eggplant parmesan & it was delicious. The portion was so large we brought some of it home. It was a limited menu but this was exactly what we were looking for. We made our reservation late & had to be seated in the bar. We had a cozy table & excellent service. We have been coming to this restaurant for years.

Clean delicious food in an open, bright, dining space. Great service by Dmytro!
