Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. I should make Momad one of my regular dining spots. The ambiance was warm, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding! We ordered the whipped feta with homemade pita, which was delicious—I was eating it like soup. The addition of honey and basil seeds was a delightful surprise. I could list all the dishes we tried, but you must dine here. You’ll be wowed, just as I was!

We had Alexa as a server and she went above and beyond! She was super sweet and answered any questions we had about the menu. From right when we got there, the host was super friendly and very professional, she was great! The table we got was right next to the fire place. This was a date night we had wanted to do for such a long time, Gracias Madre was incredible!! Thank you for such a lovely night!
