This year, I made the deliberate choice to spend Christmas Day at El Torito, a decision that proved to be exceptionally rewarding. The ambiance of the establishment is nothing short of remarkable, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. The service, in particular, was exemplary; our waitress, Maria, exhibited an extraordinary level of professionalism and attentiveness that left a lasting impression. Her ability to anticipate our needs and provide recommendations was commendable, and it is worth noting that her efforts contributed significantly to our overall satisfaction. I wholeheartedly endorse El Torito as a premier dining destination, especially during the holiday season, and encourage others to consider it for their future celebrations. A magical Christmas experience! Service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Every single thing we ate tasted fresh and homemade, which is unheard of these days. And everyone was so kind to us. As first time parents with our four month old in tow, it meant the world!

We really enjoyed the music, environment, and service at Verse. What blew us away was the quality of every dish we had. My wife is not a desert person and I had to fight her over the chocolate cake and carmel desert. delish!

I’ve been here many times and it’s always a lovely experience. The people who work here are so kind and accommodating, the food is always delicious, and the vibes are welcoming and peaceful. The brunch is great, I eat mostly raw foods and love their kale colossus salad and raw tacos as well as their wide range of raw desserts and smoothies. The friends and family I usually come with have yet to order anything they don’t like, but the Mac and Cheese, classic nachos, and lasagna tend to be the most popular (I really think you can’t go wrong though).

We were excited to try Hugo’s while visiting LA as the entire menu is gluten free. The special menu had pumpkin pancakes which were phenomenal. I enjoyed every bite. I was excited to see cornbread offered as part of another dish and asked if I could have a side of cornbread. The cornbread unfortunately was not served at room temperature and was dried out. I added some of my syrup to it which helped add moisture as the flavor was good. I was told the four cheese macaroni and cheese with the GF penne was very good as was the omelette. Dessert offerings of peach cobbler and pumpkin pie were also enjoyed, though a comment was made that the pumpkin pie was a little heavy on the cinnamon and other spices.
