Best Waterfront Restaurants in Hastings / Sunrise

The Five Sails has always been our favourite restaurant, so deciding to go there with my family for Christmas Tea was an easy decision. The restaurant staff were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we were well attended to. The food was excellent and the service fantastic, meeting all of our expectations. We were seated promptly on arrival and were not rushed in any way. There was more delectable sweets than we could come close to finishing, so staff kindly boxed and bagged the treats that remained.

Love the endless brunch selections! Our server was excellent and very attentive. Great way spend time with friends.

Service by Miles at the bar was outstanding. He instantly made me comfortable. When making recommendations he wanted to know my tastes to help point me in the right direction. He definitely succeeded. With minor adjustments, thanks to Miles, I had the Holiday Kaiseki. NOT ONE BAD BITE from beginning to end of these 7 courses. Fish and seafood, fresh and bright. Wagyu Steak just the right amount of fat. The dessert of eggnog mousse and apple filling. Do I feel guilty? Yes. But I’d do it all over again. A shouldn’t miss meal.

There are wonderful food options on the North Shore these days and in our opinion Joey’s, on many occasions is consistently among them. Last evening for our 29th anniversary certainly confirmed our overall impressions of Joey’s. In our case we enjoyed the Asian fusion flavours of our appetizer and meal, really appreciated a meal adaption that supported special dietary request, the interactive and conversational attitude of Paige that was quick to joke along with us and general ambience. Thank-you!

Lovely view, and fun to use a blanket on the outdoor patio. We so appreciate the background music being so quiet! We could hear it and each other.
