Best Fun Restaurants in Chapel Hill

We honeslty went there for a „Döner Kebap“ we know from Germany. Understandable that it was not, but we were on high hopes. Eventhough it wasn’t it was still very delicious. From the house bread with oil sauce … to türkisch soda and dishes with lamb. 🫶🏻 it was delicious!!!!!!!! We drove 1:22 hr to eat here and we do not regret it!

Tandem is a wonderful place to eat. We had the salmon and the brussels/beet salad, and both were delicious. It was quiet, making it easy to talk, and the service was perfect in every way. The parking lot makes it especially convenient. Highly recommended!

The food was very good, and the service was solid, but very expensive.

Had reservation but ended up sitting in bar area high top where it was louder than normal due to some baseball fans really into the game. We liked the Octoberfest specials: good beer and the roasted apple kraut was outstanding. Overall was fine but would have preferred to have been seated at a regular table upstairs especially now that reservations are more or less required if you don't want to wait an hour on the weekend.

I gave ambiance such a low rating only because we were disappointed in not being able to eat in one of the outside spaces you have. We hope the restaurant has not given up service out there. We love the food, but also love eating outside, especially in the covered part when the doors are open. Otherwise, ambiance inside was fine.
