- ERElaineRvipGreater Boston •44 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 8, 2024We went for dinner last Saturday after the Falmouth Christmas Stroll and the food and service were excellent. It was dark outside so did not get to enjoy the ocean views but I’m sure they are beautiful. Our server Ashlyn was very bubbly and friendly (as were all the staff). The ravioli with butternut squash and poached cranberries was outstanding! One of the most delicious restaurant entrees I’ve ever had. The carmelized endive and pear salad was delicious and different. My husband had the short rib and loved it. Portion sizes were very good. The restaurant was fairly empty but it was December and slow season. The bar area was lively though. This restaurant far exceeded my expectations and I would definitely return.More infoThe Lantern RoomPrice: Expensive• American• Falmouth•4
- SSuzanDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 5, 2024We enjoyed the Thursday evening special, Chateaubriand for Two. The beef was cooked to perfection at medium rare, the horseradish cream sauce delightful, and the portion generous. We had a lively discussion over the interesting choices of compound butters or sauces as accompaniments. Oysters as a first course was the right choice! It was tough to choose side dishes but we finally landed on Parmesan roasted asparagus and sautéed mushrooms. Again, the right choice. We finished our evening with a beautiful crème brûlée which was not too rich, not too sweet and with a perfect caramelized sugar top layer. Our server, Colin, was helpful with his suggestions and perfectly attentive without hovering. Fabulous cocktails, too. We can’t wait to go back to 53 on our next trip to the Cape.More info53 ChophousePrice: Very Expensive• Steakhouse• Mashpee•4.8
