Filomena is a wonderful place to have special occasions or just a fancy dinner. We've been there several times and each time it has been exquisite. If you aren't watching your waistline, anything in the Cardinale sauce is to die for. It can be a bit pricey, you get what you pay for and then some. Easily one of my favorites in the area and highly recommended. Can't wait for our next time back.

We had a great experience from start to finish! The wines by the glass (sparkling white and red Bordeaux) were delicious. The French onion soup had a flavorful broth and more cheese than I’ve ever seen (no complaints). The lobster bisque ranks right up there when compared to another top rated French restaurant in the DMV. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and the accompanying Bordelaise sauce accented it perfectly. We didn’t have room for dessert but ordered it anyway, profiteroles and chocolate mousse. Yum!! The service was attentive, with no mistakes and the ambience on the upper level enhanced the dining experience. The noise level was okay, and I’m glad it wasn’t any louder. The price points were reasonable, given the quality, and there are less expensive menu options. This was our first visit to this restaurant but we will be back!

Wonderful ambiance. There was a knowledgeable staff in regard to drink choices, plenty non-alc choices as well and food pairings. Would definitely go back with people for the 7 course. Love to try the 7 course if individual is ever offered.
