Best Healthy Restaurants in Marshfield

Party of 6 with 2 coeliacs a Friday night early evening. First time going and hopefully won’t be the last. Friendly knowledgeable, attentive, impeccable service. Aware of cross contamination and very informative about menu both for gluten free (of which vast choice with no additional cost for GF pasta as many restaurants do) and non GF. Beautiful setting and lovely atmosphere. Food was delicious and throughly enjoyed by all. Didn’t take pictures as too busy enjoying it all. Clear plates (took last of pizza home) we all loved what we chose.

After an hour’s walk on a misty betwixmas morning, myself, husband and trusty black lab Jack, settled into a cosy corner of the bar for lunch (booked in advance given the time of year). Despite the ‘not wanting to eat for a month’ feeling post Christmas turkey, the walk and perusing the varied menu did the trick in building up our appetites! Having seen the list of desserts, we decided to skip the small plates despite how tempting they were. I had the lamb shank, washed down with a warming glass of Merlot. The lamb was everything you’d want from a perfectly cooked shank - meat melting off the bone, coupled with fluffy Parmesan and garlic mash, red cabbage and a delicious sauce. My husband chose the cheddar soufflé which was gooey perfection accompanied by potatoes and greens. The presentation of both dishes was excellent. For dessert, I went for the vanilla and maple cheesecake with salted caramel sauce whilst my husband had the sticky toffee pudding with a specially made for him sticky toffee sauce (the menu had a brandy sauce but my husband doesn’t consume any alcohol) and ice cream. This was also delicious. Again, both desserts were beautifully presented with redcurrant and blackberry garnishes. The staff were attentive to the perfect degree, the bar area was clean, tidy and nicely laid out. The complimentary still or sparkling water was a nice touch. Overall the meal and experience was 5 star. We will definitely be back, maybe even with the teenagers! Would thoroughly recommend!

This was our first visit to Lilliput Farmhouse Kitchen and it certainly did not disappoint ! The service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious, fresh and tasty ….it was my husband’s birthday and we were offered a complimentary mulled wine which was a bonus …we will certainly be back
