- GGiniWisconsin •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoThe food was excellent. This is a really nice place with a supper club feel. It’s very clean. We were seated close to a huge bank of windows that looked out over the water (ice) and it was snowing… it was very pretty! We couldn’t have asked for a better server! I don’t recall his name unfortunately. But he was funny, polite and attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and our food was served with just enough time between courses. They had a special menu for Valentines Day. Dinner came with a salad which we both enjoyed. All of the ingredients were really fresh. I ordered the clam chowder as well and it was very tasty. For entree’s - hubby had the salmon and said it was delicious! I ordered the Mariner’s Shrimp and neither of us have ever seen such large shrimp…and the batter was so light and tasty. It was a little if the expensive side but we enjoyed it. We will definitely be making reservations here again. Thank you to The Mariner’s Inn and our server for the wonderful Valentines dinner!More infoThe Mariner's InnPrice: Moderate• American• Madison•4.8
- RRichardWisconsin •22 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe started our meal with an appetizer special of cheese and Italian sausage arancini fried rice balls with marinara. They were a wonderful way to start our meal, paired with a nice glass of Cooper's Hawk Meritage red wine and an elderberry spritz. We also enjoyed a complimentary serving of pretzel bread that we saved for accompanying our meal. For our main course we both had the Surf and Turf Valentine's Day special. It featured two filet medallions with a winter truffle crust, a blue crab-stuffed lobster tail, roasted broccolini, whipped potatoes, and lemon beurre blanc. Everything was prepared superbly, with the steak being a perfect medium-rare, the lobster very tender, and the broccolini nicely al dente. The mashed potatoes were super smooth, creamy and delicious as well. Despite being quite full, we ordered key lime pie and banoffee (banana-toffee) pie, both made with a graham cracker crust. Both were great, but I would probably order the key lime pie next time instead of the very sweet banoffee. Although it's a 35 minute drive to get to, we now hope to go to Cooper's Hawk on a regular basis!More infoCooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Middleton, WIPrice: Moderate• American• Middleton•4.6
- AAndreWisconsin •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 23, 2025Truly amazing food! I have no idea how you produce such volumes with such freshness and quality! The buffet, meats and desserts are top of the line as far as I’m concerned. I sampled at least 10-12 different items from the buffet, and all of them were excellent. The greeting was warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive , professional, and very fast in there responsiveness. And the ambience was nearly perfect. And the value of what is provided versus what I paid is quite fair and reasonable. Thank you for a terrific experience! I can’t say enough good things about it and will definitely be back.More infoSamba Brazilian GrillPrice: Very Expensive• Brazilian Steakhouse• Madison•4.6
