- CCatherinevipWashington, D.C. Area •36 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe had a lovely Thanksgiving lunch. The hostess was kind enough to find us a quiet corner booth that was perfect for four seniors, especially our 92 year old mother. Bruce, our server was attentive without being intrusive. We all had fresh fish that was perfectly prepared and delicious.More infoSaltinePrice: Moderate• Seafood• Norfolk•4.4
- RRandolphVirginia •2 reviews4.0Dined 3 days agoThe service was good and we were seated on time for our reservation. The table we were seated at was right next to the reception stand. On retrospect I should have asked for a different table as the people who were picking up orders would stand there at the desk while we were eating. A little uncomfortable. That particular table is not in a good place. The restaurant was semi busy but the wait staff was quick with the drink order and taking our appetizer order. The 4 star rating is for the time it took to get the appetizers and entrees. The shrimp and sausage was delicious but the calamari, although tender, had an almost bread like coating instead of a flakey crust. The bread sticks did not come out until the salads were brought out, not something I am used to but every restaurant does things different. The entrees also took a while to come out and were warm as if they had been ready for a while. The food was delicious. We ordered the Pollo Principessa, which instead of artichoke hearts had peas and asparagus. It was delicious but not what was stated in the menu. Also ordered was the Rustico which my son was also delicious. The third entree ordered was Pollo Parmigiana which my fiancée found lacking in the quality of the chicken. We felt as if being first time customers we did not receive the same level of attention as the regular customers who came in with and after us. Overall we had enjoyable time and with a few changes it would be a 5 star experience.More infoAl Fresco Italian RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Italian• Newport News•4.9
- BBillBaltimore / Maryland •7 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWe were seated quickly and Darrell (a recent Virginia Wesleyan graduate) was our server. As always, service here is exceptional. We have been coming here for years, and have sometimes cancelled reservations elsewhere just to enjoy another meal here. My husband salmon and shrimp in parchment that he raved over. I had gluten free baked crab cakes that were outstanding. The portions are huge, so no room for dessert. It’s a popular restaurant, we recommend reservations for the evening especially over holidays. But you will have a superb meal!More infoBerret's RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Williamsburg•4.7
- MMicheleVirginia •19 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 20, 2024Our server was Amazing! She was always checking in with us even though my parry of 6 whittled down to 3 due to illness, my Mother confusing the date, and someone else having some unknown emergency pop-up. She was extremely efficient and friendly! Our only issue was the shrimp. It apparently had a recipe change we weren't aware of..No Nuts, melons, or Anything in it. It was like eating shrimp covered with marmalade YUCK! The manager told us of the recent change, took it off the check offered a substitution too but it was ok with just that. We'll go back but just won't order that. Everything else was great!More infoP.F. Chang's - Newport NewsPrice: Moderate• Chinese• Newport News•4.1
