- LLawrenceVIPNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoI usually only write reviews with complaints. However, the dining experience last night at Chez Fifi was the opposite: perfection! No, I am not a planted reviewer! But with a just opened restaurant that one would expect some startup issues, and very little info on the internet, my expectation was far exceeded. The roast chicken dinner was perfectly cooked. The accompanying potatoes were among the best I have ever tasted. In a really nice setting, and the dessert served upstairs in the lounge, I have no complaints...just how to secure another reservation in the future.More infoChez FifiPrice: Very Expensive• French• Upper East Side•4.6

- TTylerNew York City •1 review5.0Dined on Dec 25, 2024I made an reservation and arrived about 15 minutes early which allowed us to enjoy some time at the bar. The bar staff were absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, we waited 43 minutes past our scheduled time before I mentioned to the bartender that no one had come to seat us. The young lady who checked us in seemed a bit flustered at first but eventually realized she hadn’t come to get us when the table was ready. After being seated, it took a while for someone to come over for our drink orders. Once we finally got our drinks, there was another wait to place our food order. The food was fantastic, but the service needs improvement—particularly with a more reliable hostess and servers. The bar staff are doing a great job, but they can’t handle everything on their own. Overall, despite these few hiccups, our experience was fantastic, and I would definitely return!More infoOpheliaPrice: Moderate• American• Midtown East•4.3
- JjaneNew York City •6 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 12, 2024We had a lovely lunch at the Thayer. The fried chicken was expertly seasoned and the best I've had. Crunchy where it should be and juicy and tender inside. The Cole slaw was just right. Great snap to the fries. The other dish was the Chicken Salad club. Hit every mark and totally enjoyed it. We also ordered the soup of the day and the only mishap was it was brought out not piping hot. A quick word to the waiter and the soup was retuned and the temperature was corrected. In fairness, most restaurants never serve piping hot soup, which they should. We had a view of the Hudson and the ambiance of the hotel and restaurant is old world elegance. The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely go back. It would be a fabulous place to watch the autumn colors. Next time.More infoMacArthur's Restaurant at The Historic Thayer HotelPrice: Very Expensive• American• West Point•3.8
