Best Historic Restaurants in Elizabeth

Porcini’s was wonderful, as always. The halibut special was delicious, bathed in a great sauce. The jumbo shrimp with risotto, a regular menu item, always very good. Love the delicious olive oil and cheese that comes with the bread. Great atmosphere, that was warm and buzzing even tho it was very cold and rainy outside. Excellent service. Food and service consistently good. You can’t go wrong!

We got a last minute reservation for Valentine’s Day and didn’t know much about this place prior to our arrival! I have celiac and they had a great gluten free menu with lots of choices, also lots of house made pastas for the gluten eaters. The mussels app was to die for as was the swordfish! Great experience!! Definitely recommend

This was my first time at The Last Refuge, and I had a great experience. Staff were amazing and attentive even though it was a busy night. It would be nice to see a couple more items on the menu, maybe more pasta items, as the one looked good. The appetizer, salad, and pizza was really good. I would love to come back when the weather is warmer as it looked like there was a nice patio. Overall, it was a very nice night and will come back.

Brown hotel is a beautiful setting for a date night. Valentine’s Day was very special and memorable to spend with the restaurant staff. Grace who we were lucky enough to have for the second time took such wonderful care of us. Food and specialty cocktails were excellent.

Run dont walk for Wednesday wine specials! So many options you would except to find at a great steakhouse. Mix it with a delicious slice of pizza and you have the making of the perfect girls night out! Will be back often!
