- DDianeSouth Carolina •3 reviews5.0Dined todayVisited for restaurant week. Had French onion soup which was just ok- pretty bland. But the filet was the main event and it did not disappoint. It was excellent. Service was fantastic. Would definately visit againMore infoOak Steakhouse - CharlestonPrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• Downtown Charleston•4.7
- DDebiSouth Carolina •5 reviews4.0Dined 1 day agoMenu items and restaurant week offerings were varied and appealing. Service was prompt and attentive. Brussels sprouts were tasty but a little heavy on the bacon and cheese. Salmon entrée was good, and meatball appetizer tasty albeit a bit overly sauced. Dessert Blondie was a delicious highlight and carrot cake was pretty good, but mild.More infoChurch and Union - CharlestonPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.5

- PPhileciaCharlotte •3 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoAmen Street Fish and Raw Bar is a delightful restaurant! We were in town with my mother in law for the weekend and found Amen on Google. After reading the reviews were knew we had to eat here. The decor is welcoming and warm and the noise level is just right. I never felt like I had to yell or repeat myself with my companions. We started dinner with an order of Hush Puppies and the Date Salad for the table and I had the She Crab Soup. We all agreed that the Hush Puppies were the best we've ever had! The date salad with the arugula and goat cheese and dates, delicious!! If you love She Crab Soup ORDER THIS ONE!! It was so good with lumps of crab meat and you could taste the sherry in it. For our mains we ordered Bourbon Glazed Salmon Filet, New Bedford Sea Scallops with a crab cake on the side, and an order of Grilled Salmon, Broccolini, and a side of Creamed Corn. Everything was out of this world delicious!! I would go back just for the creamed corn alone! Bottom line, if you're in Charleston or planning to go to Charleston and haven't decided where to eat yet, look no farther than AMEN STREET FISH AND RAW BAR. We will definitely be back!!!More infoAmen Street Fish + Raw BarPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown Charleston•4.7
- SBSarahBWest Palm Beach •6 reviews5.0Dined on Oct 11, 2024Let me start by saying Mike is an incredible host, server, chef, and historian. This was a one of a kind experience and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique culinary experience in Charleston. While it is not a conventional restaurant, Mike takes you on a culinary journey of 18th and 19th century low country cuisine, keeping things as authentic as possible while still appealing to our modern palates. Each dish was carefully crafted and thoughtfully prepared. The table was full of strangers, but we all got to chat and listen to Mike’s wonderful presentation of Charleston history to go along with each dish. Our specific meal was centered around Legacy families of Charleston, so we enjoyed dishes each family would have also enjoyed. Mike deserves all of the attention and reservations he can handle. As he says, he’s one of Charleston’s best kept secrets, and I believe that to be true because I had a fantastic experience.More infoHistoric Charleston Supper ClubPrice: Very Expensive• American• Downtown Charleston•4.6
