The Fox & Pheasant is a little “country” pub tucked away in a small corner of Chelsea. The pub was founded in 1846 and it began its life as the Bedford Arms. Ten years later it changed to the Prince of Wales and in 1965 became The Fox & Pheasant and we have no intention of changing its name again!Not only are we a snug pub in the winter with 3 fire places, a dartboard and dog biscuits for the well behaved companions (dogs)! We are lucky enough to be able to wind back our roof in the conservatory for those long summer lunches to. Down this atmospheric alley opposite St Bartholomew church, Cloth is taking over a double fronted corner site that’s beneath the former home of poet John Betjeman and next door to the two oldest residential buildings in London. We had a delightful Christmas afternoon tea, the food was sublime with so much effort put in to creating a fabulous Christmas setting on the top layer of cakes…. This is definitely a jewel in the crown and a hidden gem… we were all delighted with the service we were given by the lovely Manpreet… such a sweet young lady with impeccable manners…. Will definitely be returning soon and hopefully staying over to relish a well reviewed breakfast
