- JJaimeOxford/Oxfordshire •2 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoThe food in this restaurant is just out of this world. Prepared with local ingredients and made simple and sophisticated at the same time. As an example, I ate quince in a salad, which I never did before and I wasn't even aware of that possibility. It was fantastic. The service was also great. Always available but not annoying, perfectly balanced. Will come back. ThanksMore infoFive Little PigsPrice: Expensive• Modern European• Wallingford•4.6

- CClaireLondon •6 reviews5.0Dined 7 days agoLovely pub with great food. It is a bit out of the way if you don't know where you're going, but a good find. We shared the haggis bon bons & the squid to start with. Never had haggis with apple sauce but it worked. Then both had the beef & game pie which was very tasty and great pastry and came with red cabbage. We ordered 2 portions of chips to have with the pie as we were both hungry, but reality with a starter then one portion would have been plenty! Definitely no room for pudding! The guys running the place were very pleasant and helpful and it was warm - we ate in the bar. The toilets were clean (ladies) - the men's weren't used. We would go back.More infoThe Chequers InnPrice: Moderate• Contemporary British• Stokenchurch•4.8
