Best Historic Restaurants in Virginia Beach

We visited The Hunt Room in Virginia Beach, a few days before Christmas, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. The ambiance is cozy and elegant, with the holiday spirit adding an extra layer of charm. Sitting by the fire made the evening feel even more special. The food was exceptional, with every dish crafted to perfection. The drinks were just as impressive—both the espresso martini and the smoked old fashioned are must-tries! They were expertly prepared and perfectly complemented the warm, inviting atmosphere. The Hunt Room is the ideal spot for a memorable night out, whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a place to unwind. We’ll definitely be back!

This was our first time eating at Isle of Cali and everyone, from age 12 to 71, cent wait to come back. The table side Caesar salad is a must, everyone meal from Beal to shrimp was devoured and we can’t wait to try again when it’s lighter out yo enjoy more of the fabulous view. Staff was on point as well.

Kira was a splendid hostess esp with too many children opening the external doors to let the heat out; their parents did not seem to mind. This is a nice way to spend an hour in the run up to Xmas but if you are old and hard of hearing (we are both :-)), being close to the live music is not an easy experience. Attentive service with a smile and and nice combination of flavours and texture for the tea, sandwiches and savouries. Looking forward to next year’s.
