No corporate restaurant chain or Hollywood set designer could ever recreate The Biltmore Vibe. In 1914, the Biltmore opened and served up breakfast and brew at 7AM for the overnight crews from nearby factories. It came with a 4 lane basement bowling alley that was a local hangout for decades.There was talk of a speakeasy during prohibition. The Biltmore was across the street from a regional rail stop and often hosted private events for dignitaries, politicians and celebrities.Much of original brick front and interior has remained the same over the many reincarnations of this legendary bar. The original old growth wood flooring has stood up to many timeless celebrations as well. The food was really good. We had fresh oysters, clam chowder, sea scallops, fried clams, and Boston creme pie. The server even brought us a serving of cornbread while we were waiting for the food to arrive. Outstanding all around. The booth was a little tight, but hey, its the oldest restaurant in the US, so maybe folks were smaller back then. :-)

Estella is my favorite downtown spot. Between the music the food and the staff it's always fun, I came in with my friend and we got the thai style calamari for an app so good, came out fresh and hot. My main course i got the rasta pasta with oxtail it was to die for, the pasta tasted home made and fresh the oxtail melted in my mouth 10/10. I ordered a mango mami for my cocktail, it was AMAZZINGGGG i recommend coming if you haven't been !
