Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. I went for lunch with a friend. The menu was varied and innovative. There were classic dishes and interesting variations such as Halloumi curry, which had wonderful flavours that popped in ones mouth. As a starter I had a very interesting anchovy dish which was a true delight of smoky and sea, reminiscent of holidays in Portugal. For dessert I went old school and enjoyed a treacle tart..mmm. We shall certainly return 🥰

Top quality service, food and drinks, waiters very friendly and attentive Best mussels I’ve ever had, recommend without thinking as the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. We are so lucky in Beckenham to have an excellent restaurant like Pier Luigi’s Recommend to us by our Italian neighbours

I expected more. The calamari were overcooked, and the Aperol for £20 was truly surprising. The door kept opening to the street, causing an unpleasant draft. There’s no real atmosphere – it was way too bright, more like a cafeteria. However, for this area, it’s probably just a standard spot.
