Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Anchorage

This was our first time at Jeff Ruby's and we will definitely be back! Loved the atmosphere, with comfy booths and live piano music. The food and drinks were excellent - we especially appreciated Nick’s recommendations. Looking forward to next time! :)

Seating was a bit cramped but most people spoke in low tones so we could still have quiet conversations at our table. Wait staff and support staff were quietly efficient and courteous. One entree was outstanding the second was pretty bad, overcooked, dry salmon with sides that were very bland and mushy- ate very little of it . Appetizer was okay, pretty chewy calamari, have had much better . This was a special occasion celebration- It was my birthday which I had noted on my reservation under special occasions but no one acknowledged it at any time so I just kept quiet and opted not to stay for an after dinner drink or dessert. This was my first visit here, came from out of town, and as reviews were mostly great was excited to celebrate my birthday here. Sadly, was disappointed and don't expect I'll ever be back.

What a DELIGHTFUL evening we had with 2 other couples! Most of us had different Entrees & they were ALL DELICIOUS. The bread & cheese spread was incredible. One of the BEST Caesar salad I’ve had. Our server, Alan, was SOO attentive & pleasant. Caesar, the Maitre D came by several times to check on everything & was so engaging. What a value our dinner was for an excellent meal & superb service! All 6 of us can’t wait to go back to ATA! 👏🏻👏🏻
