Gw Fins Restaurant Review Gw Fins is truly a gem! We recently dined there to celebrate an early retirement, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. The atmosphere was sophisticated yet welcoming, ideal for such a special occasion. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the food. We had the swordfish and the Ahi Tuna, and both dishes were over the top in terms of flavor and presentation. The swordfish was perfectly cooked with a delicate, buttery texture, while the Tuna was an absolute standout – fresh, vibrant, and bursting with bold flavors. Every bite felt like a celebration in itself. The service was impeccable, with the staff making us feel genuinely celebrated. From thoughtful wine pairings to their attention to detail, they elevated the experience to another level. Gw Fins exceeded all expectations and made our milestone celebration unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking exceptional seafood and a memorable dining experience!

It’s been years since we have been in and yet it was just as exceptional as we remember. Michael and “Mr Rigby” (inside joke) were so attentive every want, need and desire was professionally executed  yet not overly stuffy. We felt like the only people in the dining room when clearly we were not! Michael’s suggestions were delicious. We started with cocktails and when I simply provided the ingredients for my drink which had another restaurant’s signature name attached, like magical it showed up and on point. The lobster “escargot” he suggested was melt in your both heavenly. We shared the bisque of the day and a wedge salad- anything but average but not exceptional either. However, the same cannot and should not be said of the Ribeye Steak. My goodness, I’m glad we shared it or I would surely be in a food coma today. We ended our meal with New Orleans signature crème brûlée and key lime pie. Both heavenly!

We went to the chophouse to celebrate a friend’s birthday. First of all the restaurant is beautiful. The service was second to none. The waiter was there every time we needed him, but not in our face. I ordered the bone in filet mignon, it was the most tender steak I’ve ever had. One of the best things was that we brought two bottles of wine and they don’t charge a corkage fee. Overall, it was a great experience and a great birthday dinner.

We had a delicious meal. I tried the newest menu item, the stuffed jumbo shrimp. This is definitely one you don’t want to miss. The service was the best I’ve had in the city!! This is my favorite restaurant to visit and be treated like NOLA Royalty. Our server JC was outstanding! Looking forward to returning soon.

We’ve made it a tradition to have lunch every year on Christmas Eve with our kids. The food and waiter were amazing! I accidentally made a reservation for 2 instead of 4. The host/manager seemed aggravated. I apologized twice otw to the table and he ignored me. Other than that we had a great time!
