Chicken vesuvio was very good ! Fish was excellent and filet very good . Salad was very crisp and generous portion. Service was outstanding with the waiter and helpers brought water and drinks. Best t ime to go i on Saturday night is 5:00 or 5:15 ! Enjoy , you will love it .

Alcove is our new favorite restaurant! From the excellent food to the serene elegant ambience - this is a venue that provides a superb dining experience. The low noise level and quiet music is a welcome factor for a great evening of conversation and fine dining. Additionally, the prices are reasonable for the upscale menu.

L. Woods is such a great place!! I go there quite often, and I try to get something different each time. I can honestly say that everything that I have ever ordered is really, really good!! Tonight I had fried fish--Walleye, to be exact, and it was incredibly tasty! I often get the Mahogany Chicken, because that is my favorite, but I do try to mix it up. Not only is the food excellent, but everyone is very friendly and accommodating if you have a special request. I travel from downtown Chicago to the suburbs because this restaurant is so wonderful! Also, I ordered some side dishes and desserts for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, and they could not have been better. It is just a simple down home darling place to get a great meal--the bar is always totally hopping, as well as every table being filled. So make sure to make a reservation or you may be disappointed! I cannot say enough great things about L. Woods--just a great meal at a very reasonable price!! Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises has done it again!

I've eaten here several times, and every time is a great experience. The menu has a wide variety of delicious dishes, and the servers are always great - engaging, fast, and kind. I love that the menu notes whether items are vegan, gluten-free, etc. And the food is delicious - both the entrees and the desserts!

My wife and I went here for our anniversary and the restaurant was incredibly accommodating. I did want flowers for the table and I had to purchase and have them delivered myself. I think it would have been much more accommodating if they had taken care of that and added the cost to our check. Our server, Tim, was fantastic but he wasn't very personable; he used the same jokes and lines with a table right next to us...in our earshot. My wife was gracious but I found it a bit "fake." The food and drinks were delicious, but our water was only filled at the beginning of the meal and then never again. I would definitely recommend but I want people to have a realistic expectation.
