- TTerriHouston •1 review5.0Dined 3 days agoWhat a lovely evening we had at this beautiful space. The ambience was wonderful and the band that played that evening was fantastic. The cocktails were delicious and the food cooked to perfection. Our service was amazing also. Left feeling like I had a great meal, and it was worth it!More infoEddie V's - West AvePrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• River Oaks•4.8
- JJenniferVIPHouston •14 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoRelish is our FAVORITE spot in Houston for Bistro cuisine. We appreciate the friendliest, most-attentive service, excellent cocktails and an exceptional warm welcome each and every time. WE also love to sit at the bar! We never have to worry about sacrificing attentiveness and we enjoy the friendly, accomplished bartenders. Food is dependably good and something for everyone. Relish is our go-to most any night of the week, better than home because we don't have to do the dishes - but equally comfortable and exceptionally welcoming.More infoRelish Restaurant & Bar - River OaksPrice: Moderate• Contemporary American• River Oaks•4.9
- PPamelaAustin •17 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024We visited on Christmas Eve at lunch and enjoyed a nice meal served by Carlos Sabogal. Carlos was knowledgeable and helpful with selections, with everything from champagne to appetizers and mains. We had a great meal, well worth the drive of 3 1/2 hours from Wimberley.More infoa'BouzyPrice: Moderate• Contemporary French / American• River Oaks•4.8
- TtaeleneSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review4.0Dined on Dec 24, 2024I recently visited State of Grace for a Christmas date with my husband, and while I had high hopes for the evening, the experience was a bit underwhelming. We ordered 1/2 dozen raw oysters and Oyster Bienville to start, followed by two spritz cocktails and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina as our main course. While the service was attentive and the ambiance was inviting, the food itself left much to be desired. The oysters were fresh, and the Bistecca alla Fiorentina didn’t live up to expectations, especially considering the hefty $370 bill. Having traveled to Florence, we’ve enjoyed authentic Bistecca alla Fiorentina at Trattoria ZaZa and Buca Mario. The portions there were much larger, unbelievably flavorful, and cost around 70 euros—an experience we still miss to this day. Hoping to relive that memory, we decided to give State of Grace’s version a try, even at $225. Unfortunately, it fell far short of the real thing. Overall, while the service and atmosphere were enjoyable, the food fell short, making it hard to justify the cost. I wouldn’t recommend it for the price point, but it might be worth a try if ambiance and service are your priorities.More infoState of GracePrice: Expensive• Contemporary Southern• River Oaks•4.6
- LlaurieHouston •51 reviews5.0Dined on Dec 23, 2024The food is the best sushi in America. I go to restaurants in NY, LA, Vegas, Miami. This is the best sushi in the country. The dishes are creative and prepared like you would find at a Michelin-star restaurant. I have gone here for Christmas, New Years Eve, Anniversary, Birthday over the years. Always a great. Not inexpensive, but worth every dollar for the quality. Drinks are creative. If you are z champagne drinker they even have my favorite, Ruinart. The only opportunity was we brought a baby and a little tough for seating choices. But we were fine and the baby didn't make a peep. Eat, enjoy, celebrate.More infoUchi HoustonPrice: Very Expensive• Sushi• Montrose•4.9
