Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in South Plainfield

Excellent service by Melvin. We were intrigued by some of the specials but find hard to deviate from the date night menu, which is an excellent value with a lot of choices. We shared the honey crisp salad to start. This is split in the kitchen and that makes a difference. The half portion is large with the cheese and pecans is wonderful. We also ordered the calamari, which is delicious but took most of it home as the portion is huge. Entrees were the king salmon, which was expertly prepared, and the filet mignon. There is an up charge but again the portion is large and also came home! We shared the apple tart for dessert which came with ice cream but took the other home. So many different tastes…a really nice evening.

Christmas Eve dinner for the Feast of Seven Fishes. Four course fixed price meal was worth every penny. The restaurant was beautifully decorated, our server Edgar and his team were outstanding, and the food was incredible. The Miracle Bar cocktails were something special. Our favorite restaurant never disappoints.

Christmas Eve dinner was a wonderful experience. The prix fixe menu have a variety of options for everybody including something for the vegetarian in our group. Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the entrées and desserts. I really enjoyed the fried Brie appetizer and the dessert crepe. They have a wonderful selection of cocktails and wines. I had a dry white that was lovely.

Our waiter Alexander was wonderful and the food was delicious! A perfect Christmas Eve dinner with my family!

Cydz is a gem! I hade the grilled oysters. They were absolutely delicious. The staff is amazing. the service prompt and accurate. The wine by the glass offering, is decent, but could use more depth.
