Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Tremont

The experience of Morton’s is always amazing. The service is impeccable and the food is top tier. The only true complaint I have about Morton’s is their marked up wine prices. We bought a bottle of wine for 50 dollars but upon looking it up, the same bottle is only 10-13 dollars as your retail stores. I’m pretty sure you can bring your own wine and champagne with a preapproval from the restaurant- That is what I recommend. Overall, great experience every time.

We got drinks before dinner at the bar. I recommend The Red Stilleto. We ordered all appetizers instead of entrees. The large seafood tower was good. Shrimp cocktail, with large shrimp, raw oysters, raw tuna, Cajun scallops. Then we got the charcuterie board. Sopressetta, cheeses, olives, two dips, we got oysters Rockefeller, lump crab cakes and fried calamari. They have baby chibatta breads with butter. Our waiter was awesome. Shout out to Nicholas! Was an awesome date night. The piano was a nice addition to the ambiance. Low lighting, quiet, elegant. My husband wore black slacks and a cable knit sweater, I wore a sweater dress with boots. Loved it. Will be back.

We had a triple date to celebrate Valentine's Day! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect!! The team members that greeted us were so friendly & welcoming!! For starters, we shared Oysters Rockefeller, Calamari & Shrimp Cocktail & each of the selections were absolutely delicious!! Our entrees included Filet Mignon, Delmonico Ribeye, Surf & Turf, Coleman Farms Chicken, Grilled Atlantic Salmon & New York Strip. The meals were perfectly prepared & everyone in our party raved about how delicious everything was. For salads, we had a variety including mixed greens, Cesar, beet, & titanic wedge which paired perfectly with our selections. My dry vodka martini with blue cheese stuffed olives was decadent & there were a variety of wine by the glass being thoroughly enjoyed. To finish things off - each couple shared the key lime pie tart, & New York cheesecakes with espresso & Cappuccino. Our waiter, Mitchell was fantastic!! He was attentive, extremely knowledgeable & professional. Blue Pointe is lucky to have him as a member of the team!! We were absolutely thrilled with our entire evening & cannot wait to return!! Thank you!!

Our reservations were for 6PM as we we’re heading to a 7:30 play. We were seated promptly. None of are party had been there before. Our dinner partners had arrived early and enjoyed the bar area, for the pricing, ambience and generous pour. As it was Valentines Day they were busy but had enough staff. Our server, Cole did an exceptional job of explaining the dishes. Two of us had the Salmon dish and recommended salad. Both thought it was one of the best salmon they’ve had. We enjoyed two appetizers, wine the pesto pasta dish, and dessert. All delicious. We had a play subscriptions for 15 years. This in now our go to restaurant in Playhouse Square. Pricing was reasonable. We look forward to breaking bread again with family and friends at the Friar’s Table.

We had the seven vegetable salad and the scallops to start. Scallops, along with all the accoutrements that came with it, were phenomenal. Even the complimentary bread was fantastic, served with hummus. For entrees, we had the duck and the lamb, both were amazing. The skin of the duckbreast was crispy and melted in your mouth, the lamb shank fell off the bone. They were out of the dessert we wanted but the server came up with a solution that accommodated us nicely.
