Best Neighborhood Gem Restaurants in Washington DC

The food was great and they accommodated a few allergies very well. Initially the server was very patient and fairly attentive. It was a particularly busy night but the server was not at all attentive once the food was delivered to the table. We had to wait for the complete meals that we requested. No follow up by the server. A bit frustrating because we had to wait while food was getting cold at our table. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our visit and did not feel rushed.

Took my family here for lunch, and they absolutely loved their food. Our waitress was awesome, and it didn’t take long to get our food either. Founding Farmers is consistent and worth every penny.

Very Good , Authentic French Cuisine . The waiters and Owner “Gil” are very friendly and super pro. The place to go if you want to feel you are in France !

Filomena does not disappoint! Always perfectly cooked pasta, chicken and seafood. The place is already decorated for Christmas which makes it quite an experience with a polar bear dressed in his best and Santa not to mention all the streamers and stuff hanging from the ceiling. No place like it. Only downside is they fill the place up and it gets tight and warm down in that basement. A must for any trip to DC and Georgetown!

Wow, as advertised, great host, server, manager!!!! The food we ordered was all superb!!! Crab cake to start, wife ordered the meatloaf, I had the short rib stroganoff. We had reservations and thankful we thought ahead, the 1330 lunch rush was visible on the weekend. I ordered a bloody mary, only portion of the meal which I thought lacked attention. Manager passed by the table and was very nice!!! Thank you for the Carrot cake, it was phenomenal. Highly would recommend and glad we came!!!
