Welcome to Mikey and Mel’s, a living tribute to two great men who knew and loved a great deli experience. Our dad, Mikey and grandfather, Mel were deli “regulars,” dining at their favorite Cleveland, Ohio places. Mikey and grandfather. They savored juicy pastrami and corned beef, amazingly fresh pickles and intensely huge deserts. Their daily deli lunches were times to conduct business, strike deals and make friends. We often joined our dad and grandfather at the deli table. We remember the sights, smells and sounds of our favorite local deli–from the simple comforting decor to the aroma of deli meats and sour pickles. We also recall the brash and snarky staff. While we will always miss Mikey and Mel, we’ve decided there’s no better way to pay homage to two great men than by opening an old fashioned deli named for them.     Kalin what is wonderful and kept all of our requests and his mind and quickly presented. We were surprised how busy it was, but the staff was efficient and they knew how to handle all the tables. There were five in our group. We all ordered something different and we all were very pleased with our dinners. We will go back!

    This restaurant definitely lives up to hype!! The food, atmospher and service were stellar!! If I had to give a downside, the pricing could be a bit more transparent and jalapenos are a in quite a few menu items If you don't like heat, your choices will be limited. However, the jalapeno dishes are not brutally spicy. I'm not a spice girl (pun intended) but heat was tolerable. These are minor downsides. This place is a must visit!! Kudos!

    Excellent location for a celebration. Best drinks around - though the beer menu could be expanded! Adequate selection of wines… but that’s all drinks! You go there for the FOOD… and GOOD it is. Not high brow but a use of spices that is tantalizing without tongue-numbing as some places. The best evidence is the subtle smoke flavor of the Baba Ganousch…the BEST! Only fault was we were not forewarned of the 3% surcharge on using credit; had we known we would have brought cash… next time, for sure. ;-)
