Best Restaurants that are Worth The Drive in Kent

Everthing from the toasted marshmallow hot chocolate and wine flight in the still house to the lush blush martini and chicken piccata for dinner at the bistro was incredible. Absolutely beautiful from the moment you drive onto the property. Much needed magical escape. Lauren provided outstanding service we cant wait to go back!

We were thrilled with our meals. Service was spot on. The seafood pasta was outstanding. Nice wine menu. Great view.

Strip continues to be my favorite restaurant in Northern Ohio. From the cocktails through the starters and the mains, we have never had a bad plate - ever. Tremendous quality and attention to detail. The kitchen is tight - well done

It was my wife's birthday (12/18/24) so to try something new we drove 1½hr to try the Haunted House Restaurant Well worth it! We had an awesome experience. Food was delicious and at a reasonable price. I had the Texas Chainsaw burger and fries while she had the Shaggy which was 2 black waffles with banana pudding and caramel sauce. Everything on the menu is named after a horror movie or Halloween related. You can look online for their menu. The decor was done in everything Horror movie related also. Pennywise, Chucky, Christmas Nightmare etc. Michael Myers was there also. At first I thought he was a statue but once he moved...scared the $#@& out of me! He does his role VERY WELL! The waitress and him even did a little birthday dance for the wife 😆 We had reservations for 4pm. We arrived exactly at 4pm and was walked to our table. After our waitress took our order it was only about 15-20 mins for our food to arrive. Parking wasn't an issue...we parked across the street at the Family Dollar store since we went there before the restaurant. We had a great time and will be back! Definitely would recommend!

We’ve been coming to this location for many years, 10+, through a few different owners, and this visit was one of the best. We had a not as great visit about a year ago and hesitated to return, but so glad we did. The shrimp cocktail, sausage and perogies were some of the best we’ve ever eaten at a restaurant. My salad had lots of chicken, the bartender made a perfect French 75, and the flourless chocolate cake was so good. We’ll definitely be back.
