I initially felt a sense of hospitality on the phone when making a reservation; that hospitality was reinforced throughout the evening by the genuine warmth and confidence of the chef and staff. They are on top of their game and it shows. The menu is a superlative exploration of the chef's Italian Riviera background. It relies heavily on locally caught seafood and light (almost simplistic) compositions that skillfully accent the flavors of the high quality ingredients… Paradiso absolutely earned its stars. If, ever there was a reason to move to Florida, it is Cafe Chardonnay. Fabulous food, outstanding professional service, and one of the best wine lists around. Tonight the Mrs. had blackened grouper and I went for the rack of lamb. Both were prepared to perfection. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Kind of an unlikely location, but as a result there is plenty of parking, and I sense that most of the diners are loyal locals. We are not locals but come here just to visit Cafe Chardonnay, one of our favorites anywhere.
