Fortunately, we found three courses to delight. On a very chilly night, the covered patio was enhanced by the warm glow of space heaters and toasty blankets. We arrived early for our 730 reservation and left at 10, not because of slow service but because the charming ambience encouraged us to linger over coffee and chat. Service is warm and relaxed and she remembered us visiting the first time and we were able to reconnect and catch up again. We started off with the tartine (excellent), followed by the squid (lightly breaded, tender, delicious) and the veal sweatbreads (very good, a little heavy on the breading for my taste). Next up: the mushrooms and polenta (great) and, finally, the spinach with beef tongue (great dish!). Dessert was the poached pear (poached to perfection). The service was excellent, the noise-level, on the other hand, a little high.
